Who are the members?
men who have fully or partially retired from their normal occupation, business or profession.
What is the age range?
Our members range from 60 to 90+ but we have no set limits limits
What is the purpose of the club?
Our purpose is entirely social. We are a place for making and meeting friends and hearing a range of talks on a variety of subjects. We arrange occasional outings to places of interest.
When do you meet?
We meet on the second Tuesday of each month, usually at the Ashbourne Golf Club. we gather for coffee at about 10.00 am and following a brief business meeting at 10.30 we have a speaker who is usually willing to answer questions. Members can then stay for a drink and lunch if they wish.
We also have an informal lunch meeting on the 4th Thursday of each month at 12.30pm. Venues vary.
Would I have to attend every month?
No, but apoolgies are appreciated.
What do I wear?
Some members wear a jacket and tie, others are smart casual. Members are encouraged to wear their name badges.
How much does it cost?
Currently £40 per year for membership. Tea or Coffee is available at the start of the meeting for £1.50 and a choice of lunches, which need to be booked at the start of the meeting, are available from £8
