** PROBUS MEETING ON TUESDAY,  August 11th AT ASHBOURNE GOLF CLUB **

There were 22 attendees including a potential new Probus member,

The talk today was titled “The Klondike Gold Rush” presented by Roy Atkinson.The talk detailed how the Klondike Gold Rush started in 1897 and finished shortly afterwards in 1899.This was with the discovery of gold in Anvil, Alaska but gold is still being mined around Dawson City today.

The next meeting will be held on September 8th 2026 at Ashbourne Golf Club when the speaker, Ashley Franklin, will talk on the Derwent Mills World Heritage Site.
